The Hong Kong Innings: Struggle Against Spins.
The batting line of Hong Kong was under direct attack by the Bangladesh bowlers. This spin-heavy attack by the Tigers orchestrated by the experienced Shakib Al Hasan and the spinster Mehidy Hasan Miraz became difficult on a pitch that had a turn grip. The Hong Kong openers began very cautiously, but they were thrown off course by early breakthroughs. By the 5th over they were down two major wickets, and one of those, their captain, to the wiles of Shakib, who dealt with the top-order bat with a sharp-turning shot to fire out the batter.
