This was not just another fixture to San Francisco, but a chance to find a way to ensure that the team lands the top-two, which guarantees a direct entry into the playoffs. In the case of LA, this was the opportunity to end the season on a positive note in spite of their poor performance. There was a storming atmosphere in the floodlights with the stakes. LAKR Innings- A Blitzkrieg of Power:

The decision to bowl first was rewarded when LAKR ran away to 243/3 in 19 overs; a score that stated a mere instance of power. Andre Fletcher - The Scorching Match‑Winner

Andre Fletcher achieved a bloodshed of mythical proportions:

• 118 runs of only 58 balls

• Amazingly, he hit 10 fours and 8 sixes sending a signal of his aggressive power house

• Important significant milestones: 50 after about 32 balls, 100 shortly after- one  of those innings that how the match flowed.

Hales & Rutherford Supporting Acts:

• There was also a quick-fire 58 off 26 balls (8×4s,3 6s) by Alex Hales as the duo put together a massive ~94 run stand in the second wicket with Fletcher

• His over built up some momentum but not sufficient as he was finally removed after some good bowling by LA.

• There was plenty of solidity offered by Hammad Azam (38 off 27).

• Hassan Khan knocked off 35 runs off 17 balls to put on a 87 run stand with Krishnamurthi, and temporarily rattle Unicorns out of their slumber
